PARENT GROUP

Real Support for Real Parents

Mistakes happen—there’s no such thing as a perfect parent. These groups, led by Julia, a parent and therapist specializing in child behavior and development, focus on embracing imperfection. Being a “Good Enough” parent means getting it right just 33% of the time! Together, we’ll ease the pressure and guilt and learn how “doing it wrong” fosters growth and repair in relationships.

Through empathic reflection, Julia helps parents understand how children feel in different situations and offers guidance for shifting conversations. You’ll learn to separate yourself from what your child’s behaviour might be showing because their actions are often their way of communicating feelings. By attuning to the emotions behind the behaviour and viewing them as a gift to better understand your child, you’ll gain new insights. Reflecting and validating your child’s emotions allows them to feel seen and heard, which can reduce extreme behaviors. This paves the way for your child to express how it feels to be understood!
